Le Jardin de Luxembourg

After my little escapade at the brocante this morning i thought i'd make the most of it and do something else with my day.

I saw on an online journal that there's a photography exhibition about the effect of man on the desert - disappearing oasis', brushland being swept under the sand and people migrating to towns in search of a better life.

In the event, after what seemed like an age stuck on the métro, as soon as i arrived at Le Jardin de Luxembourg i just thought i'd go and sit and take in the sun.

I wasn't the only one with the same idea ...







I just loved these little boats skudding around the basin ...



Watching the birdies getting chased around ...



Lots of fun to be had for young ....





... and old alike ....







I stayed for quite a while and went for a wander through the park proper....



The sun started setting at about 7pm and with the breeze coming of the Seine, it started getting a bit nippy so i started heading home ...
