This morning though, i arrived at the office with the intention of catching up on stuff that i knew i wouldn't be able to do this afternoon (being 'out' and all that).

I reminded Missus Bosswoman about my absence in the afternon and as soon as i told her, she burst out into stream of what i can best decribe as semi-surpressed pissed offedness - Boy Idiot had taken the day off (as is his right to do so), so leaving her on her own to do some, y'know w.o.r.k

He gets a black mark in 'The Company Book of Doom' because the guv'noresse knows that he's been aware for weeks that i'd be away for the afternoon ... so why in the hell did he take a day off ?

I think he took the day off becuse he's in a state of rebellion.

Since he's been promoted to right hand man, with all the perks, pay and priviliges, he feels that the boss gives him too much work to do.

He can often be heard saying (in his whiney voice) "Phoualàlàlàlà ... what would happen if i wasn't here, eh ?".

I think it's his way of putting his size 6 foot down.

Tomorrow, undoubtedly, he'll get a polite talking to which will lead to him saying he gets picked on ... poor little lamby.
