Images are deceptive ... in the photo above, Les Champs look beautiful in the glare of a low slung autumn sun.
The reality is something else.
Who'd've thought that the most beautiful thorughfare in the world (tm) turns into a marrow chilling wind tunnel with the temperature hitting 9 or 10° at midday.
Siberia it isn't but up until 2 weeks ago you could still be out strolling in shirt sleeves.
The change is a shock to the system.
It'll be my first winter in my new pad and to judge by how cold it is here already, may very well be my last - as much as i like the quartier, i live oppositea wooded park which seems to be a magnet for fog, frost and general chillines.
It's a good job that my heating system was changed over the summer hols (where did they go ?).. but even so, it's still not particularly efficient
