Consumermas is just around the corner and as usual the two biggest parisien stores are having their competition to crown themselves the King and Queen of window dressing land.

For the second year running, i do hereby solemnly proclaim Printemps to be the hands down winner !

I have to admit, i fail sometimes to understand the connection or the overriding idea behind it all - some of the windows, although beautifuly done, just seem to be a bit, y'know, incongruous

Anyway, break out the sun shades because just underneath there are about 20 retina searing images around the theme of a "Nordic Noël" :@)

Window N° 1 - automated 'cute' wolf puppets going doolaly over a table laden with food.

Window N° 2 - Who are we having for dinner ?


Window N° 3 - The Owl band - i just don't find these things cute at all ...they're the scariest bunch of owls that i've ever seen. They move and play threatenting screechy music too.

Window N°4 - This is one of things where you have to stop and think. A snow queen, defender of animals, but surrounded by stuffed dead furry things

Window N° 5 - Fridge being attacked by a horde of starving teddy bears ! This is probably one of my faves, particularly for picture 3 of one little bear who's having his paws nipped by crabs out for revenge .... and to think that i'd always believed that bears only ate honey

Window N°6 - I can't hide it, but this was a WTF moment. Are these things supposed to be white cuddly spiders ? I just can't decide what this is about ... perhaps the store has a cunning plan to shift it's floor mop surplus or something

Window N° 7 - This window is a tongue in cheek thing : Bears taking photos of people taking photos of people taking photos of bears taking photos of people *ad infinitum / ad nauseum*

Window N°8 - Another window that i found a bit disturbing - i can't explain why, maybe because it's excessively pink for me

Window N° 9 - me me me ... i want three like that under my Consumermas tree ... versions that breathe though

Window N° 10 - China girl ....
