Silence,moteur, action
Sooooooooooo here we go ....
The story is that Mle actress is directing and starring alongside her mother in a film for general cinema release.
I don't know the whole story, but the scene that i saw today revolves around how the mother - who's at least 60 - has the hots for her trainer.
The daughter only becomes aware of this state of affairs when she arranges to meet her ma for lunch ...
(edité le 14/3 : The film's working title is "Moi actrice" and is an autobiographical account of the daughter's life)
I gotta say here, maybe i'm wrong, but i just don't find it credible that a guy of about my age - ahem - would be interested in someone old enough to be his grandma ... unless of course he's looking for a way in with the daughter or the mother is exceeeeeeeeeedingly, stinking filthy rich and is gonna pop her clogs any day soon !! But even then ...
It'll be interesting to see the reaction - both from the critics and the cinema going public alike - once it's been released: the mother is revered in france (i think) and the daughter has a track record of making films that are a bit hit 'n' miss sometimes and not always readily accesible ... so we'll have to see.
The whole episode was a bit of a pain in the arse really : they wheeled in something like 5 metal cages choc-a-block with materials, tons of lights, their own decor etc.
The entire second floor was pretty much closed off with 4 or 5 rooms reserved for technicians, make up and rush viewing.
We had cables draped all over the place, security guards stopping people at the doorway and people going 'shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh'.
Most importantly, however, the second floor is where the coffee machine is situated and where people congregate to chat, so there were glum faces all round.
The other thing is that every 5 minutes or so there would be a cry of 'Silence s'il-vous-plait on tourne, moteur, action' - not very practical when we have clients moving around, phones ringing and all that jazz.
But on the up-side, we did get to see a bit of the other side of film making; missus woman in her tin foil hair curler thingys, the whole kind of 'lovey you were great' stuff and how many takes it ... er ... takes ... to get one scene in the can : they started at about 3pm and were still filming when i left, not bad for a scene that probably lasts for about 5 minutes.
