y'know, i was a bit bored when i found these two sites ... in between i became .. let's say .. a bit more 'sadder' - hence the prefusion of black (sans le vouloir ... comme quoi, hein)
No, no. Not cryptic at all. I was referring to those painted cows all over your blog, those given as blank canvas to artists. I guess they're old news to you now, but they are new to me.
I just couldn't believe my eyes/luck when the expo started - wherever i went i'd just kinda bump into them.
After the first week or so, a lot of them were vandalised and daubed with graffiti.
So, i think i was dead lucky really to see them in their pristine condition - i didn't have the heart to do a before and after as it would've been a bit grim, i think.
It was a bit infuriating really, given that it was all for charity.
But your right, that was months ago.
Since you're the only person who's commenting - tell me what's missing, what could be better, what should be left out of my little corner of the 'toile'.
I wouldn’t change a thing, actually. I think yours is a very generous blog. I can get my Paris fix, my recipes, my jokes (your sense of humor just works for me) and get revved up (the pictures you posted of Beirut nearly killed me. They put us to sleep over here by not showing us the most gruesome stuff. War becomes a very theoretical thing. )
I don’t know why people don’t post comments in general. Maybe they, unlike me, have a life.
I’d like to see some one your drawings/cartooning though.
Also, they did a project here not unlike the cow project. Four hundred angels. Look it up at www.publicartinla.com/Community_of_Angels/ (i just posted one on my blog)
I don’t believe any were vandalized. Americans are way respectful in that sense. Until they take their guns and shoot everyone in sight, that is.
I just try to give e representation of whats going through my goldfish brain !
Beirut is indeed pretty grim.
I know someone from the Lebanon.
Although we're from different cultures we're both as equally sickened by the whole middle east 'thing'.
We've both been saying that we need adults back in charge of the world.
We have idiot people 'running things'.. lapdogs in every country and an extremely cowed press ... a lot of us here have the impression that there's been some kind of frightening, collective madness that's taken a hold over everybody.
Not just in the U.S in particular -that seemes to be pushing for a major confrontation.
A bit like an addict looking for his next fix ( i read an article in the guardian today that sums it all up nicely)

But i amuse myself like a pig in s**t ;@)
And not everybody gets a blank cow, so this will do.
Hmmm .. i don't get it .. a blank cow (une vache banche ? Une vache vide ?? )
Too cryptic at this time of night
