Last night, i finally ceded and went out for a few beers with what started out as a group of about five or six trainers.

Initially i did say that i'd just have one or two beers as i have to work on saturday.


The thing that set me off on the road to ruin was the untimely arrival of a guy that i privately call D'Arsehole.

This is the guy that i find extremely dodgy, in the sense that i really do cringe when i know he's going to be working with one of my clients who happens to be of the female persuasion.

I'm sure he must have some redeeming factors ... somewhere ... at least one ... i think he just must've made an exceedingly good job of keeping them under wraps from public scrutiny ... they must be subliminal ... whatever ...

So, anyhow, D'Arsehole turns up and encrusts himself into things and butts into conversations with the most inane drivel.

He has a habit of regaling us with his nightmarish lifestory, in all of it's gore and depravity - mainly about women who've not stuck him out for more than ten days.


I'm a polite guy, and i just don't have the heart to say someone *'bog off !'*, so at about seven o'clock i said to everyone that i'd push off; cats to feed 'n' all that (almost as good as saying 'the kids'll be home from school soon').


As i was leaving one of my fave trainers said he'd have to buy a prezzie for his in laws ... coincidentally, fave trainer N° 2 said that he had to go and buy his Christmas tree.

So off we toddled, the three of us, into the freezing cold night.

We three hit the tube station when suddenly, Fave trainer N° 1 says "Heyyyy, i know a great little bar not far from my place ... you'll love it ..."

And that was it !

I drank a bit too much, made it in time for the last train home, and in between, made the (all to brief) acquaintance of a stunning, whistling barmaid.
