Finally, last weekend was pretty hectic - i went to the Barrio Latino, in the Bastille quartier.

It used to be known for it's Spanish flavored surroundings .. y'know, tapas, sangria a go-go and good old fashioned flamenco-cum-salsa-cum-latino stylie music.

How things have changed.

Where once we could transport ourselves to Madrid in the blink of an eye with the guys dressing up in fedoras and cool suits ... chicks wearing hot dresses and not much else .. people generally making an effort to put on their dancing thangs and do their awe inspiring twirling and swirling around stuff ..

Now the place has turned into your bog standard, rip-off-insipid-food joint with techno music to boot.

The surroundings have stayed the same but the clientele has grown younger, tastes have changed ( i personally felt very short changed) and the place has lost it's charm - it's such a shame really.
