An englishman in Paris

So then, the bonk holiday's over and done with

Not a great deal to report - BoyIdiot seems to be still getting dressed in the deepest dark of night and MissusBossWoman is still on her prescription drug things.

Whereas me, well ...

Today i got rechatted up by an ex-trainee who's returned for a bit more (!!) training.

Here goes for the fully abriged story :

At the start of last year i had to give a few courses, part of which included going out to lunch with the trainee.

If ever i have to do that kind of thing, well, i always opt for the nicest italien place (s'not me that pays, so what the hell) - it's a great place where they do fresh, homemade pasta, "justa lika momma used to maka" and but also, they make some yummy bread using the most exquisite olive oil.

Y'know how it is, with the best will in the world, sometimes you kind of 'click' with someone; it could be a gest, a glance, a joke ... whatever

Well (rubs his neck uncomfortably as he enters the confessional box) last year i had to take this chick out to lunch as part of her training program.

There was already electricity in the air.

We sat down, ordered and started chitchatting, as you do

After a while she said that she hadn't realised that the restaurant was part of a hotel and that she'd bet her bottom dollar that i alwaystook my 'favorite trainees' to eat there

And *gulp* "... that surely it wouldn't be too much of a problem if 'we' arrived back a bit late" (how much late is a moot point)

Now, although we were laughing, joking and hamming it up a bit, there was an edge of deadly seriousness to it all....

Now she's back ;@)

What do i do ?

Hide ?

'Assume' ?

Pfft

I've not had time to see her yet, what with the strikes and things ..

What things? Other things or just different things? I say this as usually French women aren't quite so forward. Therefore she obviously wanted. . . things. She probably thinks she is worthless and is heartbroken. You heart breaker chose. Or is this just another victory for Sarko?

Ana, 'things' is just way of speaking ;)

She's just not been around - the strike has really put a lot of my trainees 'on hold', so, you know ...

I think it is indeed a little victory for a very little man who needs to compensate for something :p

Maybe it's just me, but i personally do find french women much more forward, but in a polite way, than english women (that's the charm !)
