In despite of everything, i'm feeling particulary Grinchy.

I don't know why ... well, s'not true ... not by a long chalk ... i do know, precisely why, but i'm just not saying :p

I really, really have come to hate, loathe and detest the whole end of the year 'thing'.

The false bonommie, the false goodwill to others and especially the putting-on-a-friendly-face bit to those that we wouldn't even consider rescuing from the blazing fires of hell.

Grim and glum, i think, sums up how i'm feeling right now at this minute.


I think the nub of it all is this : my birthday follows hot on the heels of the holiday shenanigans.

So, for all my life, i've always felt a little bit short changed ... my birthday always gets thrown in with Christmas and the New year ... that plus the usual 'taking stock of my situation' that every one of us thinks about at this time of year (i'll talk about that one next week).
