I spent all afternoon yesterday drooling about eating lasagne with a bit of garic bread - you either love it or loathe it - and had even made the effort of buying a very nice kind of baguette (known as La Tradition) and was on the métro thinking about how much i was looking forward to getting home and putting my feet up ...
But ...
Then ...
Drama struck ...
I got home to find that the electricity had been turned off.
OFF OFF OFF !
No heating, no lighting and the refrigerator had been nicely de-frosted...
FUCKFUCKFUCK
I phoned the electric boys who told me that they had no record of my account being opened ... after a bit of pleading, well, downright lying really (i said i had health 'issues') they said that they'd send someone out at the crack of dawn to reconnect me.
FUCKITYFUCK - no lasagne :(
DOUBLEFUCKITYFUCKFUCK - no shower, no shirts ironed :((
You get my drift ......
I'd just woken up this morning when the phone rang with a guy asking me to be at home from 12pm until 4pm - i'd never realised that the french had such an iffy notion of 'crack of dawn' - my health issues porkies hadn't worked as well as expected.
So, i got into work early (for me), answered a few mails, made a few bills out, hid from the nutcases and disappeared at 11.30.
The guy arrived at about 3.30 (that really is some time difference).
To cap it all off : i'm working tomorrow :(
