I love Paris in the spring-time

It's been a beautiful day here with warm sunshine, a beautiful blue sky overhead and ... heuuuum ... more revolting students.

So today was strike day again ... i live at the start of the line so i don't have any problems finding a seat, people who get on at the first stop though do end up being squashed like sardines ...

This morning, one guy decided to force his way onto the train (vous allez me faire de la place - you're all going to make room for me) ... despite the moans and groans from the other harrased and stressed-out commuters, he managed to push his way on ... during the ride to the next station, someone said "on va lui foutre dehors" (we're gonna chuck him out) and once the train stopped, a shout of "un deux trois" rang out and the guy was pushed out of the train and unceremoniously dumped on his arse onto the platform ... that's what i call direct action :-D

Anyhow, the journey into Paris is always nice when the sunshines : we have great view of most of the monuments - the Eiffel tower is clearly visible from miles around, we can see the top of the Arc de triomphe and in the distance we can make out the Sacre coeur and La Butte montmartre overlooking the city.

It becomes apparent just how Paris sits in a bowl and when i go in early, there are magnificent vues of the sunrise and the reflection gives it all a beautiful pink hue ... it's really nice until you stop and think that all of this is due to smog from the congested traffic - byeurk.

So ... i got in O.K, saw some people, billed loads of people, - hoorah, thars gonna be meat an' potatoes in the house at the end of the month - didn't have to give support and succour to any neurotics today ... and then i went out on an RDV Cliént for most of the afternoon near the Rivoli métro station ... what a terrible day to be swanning around near the Louvre ... sometimes, work is just suuuuuuuuuuuuch a drag :-)
