So there you go, i've quit Paris and have moved out to the country ... not that far mind you, no more than a good forty five minute train ride in the mornings.
It's far enough away to be calm and to let me make the most of my week-ends
People have a lot of à priori about the habitants of the town being old, decrepid, fuddy duddy, sunday morning churchgoers. There are, however, a lot of universities and training colleges in the vicinity which makes for lively bars with funky music (no-one believes me on that one !!)
There's a magnificent park here where one can go to for a stroll, hire a row boat, or just sit in the sun reading and maybe even, one day, go for an ad-hoc picnic eating produce that's just been bought from local producers at the market.
'Tis all too good to be true, i know, but i love it
In case you haven't figured it out yet, i've moved back to my french town of adoption ;0)
